Abstract:
with p-nitrobenzoic acid and isooctyl alcohol as raw materials, p-toluenesulfonic acid supported on granular activated carbon was used as catalyst to synthesize p-nitrobenzyl isooctyl ester. Orthogonal experiments of four factors and three levels were designed, various factors affecting the reaction were investigated. The results showed that the optimum conditions of esterification reaction were as follows: P-nitrobenzoic acid: isooctyl alcohol -1:2, the amount of catalyst was 1.0% of the mass of reactant acid, reflux temperature, reaction time 6H, when the mass of acid was 0.10mol, the yield of toluene was 95.5% with 40ml water-carrying agent.
